At Little-tag, we support sustainability more than ever. That is why each season we are committed to introduce you brands that share this same value with us.
Our goal? To invite you to be part of the change.
Recently, we had the pleasure to interview Allison Georgopoulous, the founder of MEER GUIDE, the guide to ethical and sustainable baby and kids fashion. And when we asked her how this initiative came about, this is what she told us about her research process : « I realized when talking to parents and sustainability experts, that everyone prioritizes different things. For some it’s the people, who are the makers and are they treated fairly. Others would mention the material, natural, organic, non-toxic dyes, certifications. For others it’s more environmental, what are their processes, wastage, recycling habits, carbon footprint. In the last year, there’s been more conversation about social justice issues, what are brands doing to ensure diversity and representation, what initiatives are they involved in. »
Today, brands are taking care to certify their commitments in a complete transparency approach with their consumers. Some of them feature natural colors and comfortable shapes to be recognizable in their approaches. This is for example the case of Liilu Organics with its boho-minimal vibes style, which is made of 100% organic cotton in Portugal.
SUUKY Bedlinen offers for its new loungewear collection the finest textiles and accessories for home while being eco-friendly. The whole collection is OekoTex, REACH and GOTS certified and ethically produced in Portugal.
A little further, the Nordic heritage brand Minimalisma is committed to building a sustainable brand with high ethical standards that not only benefits the consumers or the children, but also the environment in general. Superior quality, simplicity and sustainability are their key words. They use a special NEA fabric, which is a fabric developed for kids with neurodermatitis for sensitive skin that offers a natural, ecological and antibacterial alternative to conventional fabrics.
Among the most colorful and playful brands for our little ones, Bonmot Organic offers collections made of 100% organic cotton and locally-produced. And tinycottons ensures an honest process and fair trade factories, and privileges recycled materials for the non-cotton fabrics in order to take care of the environment.
The Spanish brand Bobo Choses just launched its « Iconic Collection », the most sustainable collection of products made with recycled garments from old Bobo Choses creations, natural dyes and reused fabrics, along with 100% certified organic cotton.
Sustainability is the key for tomorrow. So let's take care to provide the best future possible for our little ones.
